Official Rules for the Shoe MGK Grand Opening Giveaway

Welcome to the Shoe MGK Grand Opening Giveaway! This exciting event celebrates the launch of our new retail location, and we’re thrilled to share it with you. Below are the full terms and conditions governing your participation. By entering, you acknowledge and agree to these Official Rules.

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN

No purchase is required to participate in or win the Shoe MGK Grand Opening Giveaway. Making a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. This giveaway is a promotional event organized by Shoe MGK to celebrate our new store opening, offering participants an opportunity to win exciting prizes.

2. ELIGIBILITY

This Giveaway is open only to legal residents of Canada who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of Shoe MGK and affiliated organizations are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. GIVEAWAY PERIOD

The Shoe MGK Grand Opening Giveaway will commence at November 2nd at 12:00 PM and conclude at November 3rd at 4:00 PM. To participate, all entries must be received within this period to be considered eligible. All times referenced are in Eastern Daylight Time.

4. HOW TO ENTER

• Follow Us, Subscribe, or Comment: To enter, simply follow Shoe MGK’s official pages on Facebook or Instagram, subscribe to our newsletter, OR comment on the contest post.
• Automatic Entry: Following one of our Social Media accounts, subscribing to our newsletter or commenting on a current contest social post will automatically enter you into the Giveaway. Limit of one entry per person. Multiple entries from the same individual will be disqualified.
• Compliance with Rules: Shoe MGK reserves the right to disqualify any entry or participant that does not comply with these Official Rules or demonstrates conduct that compromises the integrity of the Giveaway.

5. WINNER SELECTION

• Random Drawings: Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries submitted during the Giveaway Period.
• Announcement: Winners will be announced on Shoe MGK’s official social media pages (Instagram and Facebook) throughout the grand opening weekend. Each winner will be tagged in the announcement and notified via direct message on the social platform where they entered.
• Response Window: Selected winners must respond within 2 hours of the announcement to claim their prize in-store. Failure to respond or appear within this timeframe will result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected.
• $500 Bonus Eligibility: If a winner is physically present in-store at the time of their winner announcement and steps up within 30 seconds, they are eligible for an additional $500 cash bonus upon verification of their social media account. If the winner fails to meet these requirements, the $500 bonus will not be awarded.

6. PRIZE CLAIM REQUIREMENTS

• In-Store Visit: Winners must visit the Shoe MGK retail store located at 1 Bass Pro Mills Dr, Concord, ON L4K 5W4, Canada within 2 hours of the announcement to claim their prize. Any winner who fails to appear in-store within the 2-hour timeframe will forfeit their prize, and an alternate winner may be chosen.
• Identification and Social Media Verification: To claim the prize, each winner must present a valid, government-issued ID and verify the social media account used to enter the contest.
• Skill-Testing Question: In compliance with Canadian law, winners must correctly answer a skill-testing question to receive their prize. The question will be simple and may include basic arithmetic or general knowledge about Shoe MGK products.

7. PRIZES

• Total Prizes: Throughout the Giveaway Period, 5 pairs of shoes will be awarded, including 5 pairs of premium sneakers. Prizes are awarded “as is,” cannot be returned or exchanged, and have no cash equivalent.
• $500 Bonus: Any winner who is present in-store at the time of their announcement and steps forward within 30 seconds for verification will receive a $500 cash bonus in addition to the shoe prize.
• Approximate Retail Value (ARV): Each prize has an approximate retail value (ARV) depending on the shoe model, with a maximum value estimated at CAD $250. The $500 bonus is a separate cash value.

8. ODDS OF WINNING

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received throughout the Giveaway Period.

9. GENERAL CONDITIONS

• Publicity: By entering, participants consent to the use of their name, likeness, and prize details for promotional purposes by Shoe MGK without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
• Disqualification: Shoe MGK reserves the right to disqualify any entry or participant found to be violating these Official Rules, tampering with the entry process, or engaging in fraud or other misconduct.
• Modification Rights: Shoe MGK reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway at any time if technical issues, fraud, or other circumstances outside of our control affect its integrity. If the Giveaway is terminated early, Shoe MGK may, at its discretion, hold a random drawing from all eligible entries received before termination to award any remaining prizes.

10. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Shoe MGK, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any liability resulting from participation in the Giveaway, including acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.

11. DISPUTES

• Governing Law: The Giveaway is governed by the laws of Canada. By entering, participants agree that any disputes related to this Giveaway will be resolved exclusively in Canadian courts.
• Limitations on Damages: By participating, entrants waive the right to claim punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages arising from their involvement in this Giveaway.

12. PRIVACY

Any information collected from entrants will be handled in accordance with Shoe MGK’s Privacy Policy. Personal data may be used solely for the administration of this Giveaway and will not be shared with third parties except as necessary for prize fulfillment.

13. SPONSOR

• Shoe MGK: This Giveaway is sponsored and administered by Shoe MGK, located at 1 Bass Pro Mills Dr, Concord, ON L4K 5W4, Canada. 
• No Affiliation with Social Media Platforms: This Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook and Instagram. By entering, participants fully release Facebook and Instagram from any liability.

By entering the Shoe MGK Grand Opening Giveaway, participants agree to abide by these Official Rules, Shoe MGK’s Privacy Policy, and all decisions made by Shoe MGK, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Giveaway.
